보이지 않는 힘의 가시화

많은 작품과 전시를 준비하는 미술대학 학생들의 실기실에서 나오는 오염된 공기는 나에게 영감을 주었다. 실기실에서 이루어진 작품의 잔해로서의 보이지 않는 공기와, 또 그 공간을 사용하던 사람들의 숨결이 이 작품의 원동력이 되어 거대한 통로를 형성한다. 이 작업의 주요 컨셉은 이러한 숨결(힘)의 방향을 전환시키는 것이다. 각 실기실에서 나오는 폐공기들은 건물의 환풍장치를 통하여 나오며, 이것은 야외, 실내, 공중을 통하여 전시장까지 연결된다. 관객들은 외부에서 건물과 건물을 에워싸는 통로들을 보고 그 힘의 원점에 대하여 상상한다. 본 작업은 각각 길이 200, 300, 150 m, 폭 80cm의 대형 터널로 이루어져 있으며, 작품 설치를 위하여 작업에 대한 안전검사와 협조 요청, 대학내 제도적 승인을 얻는 등의 긴 과정을 거쳤다.

The polluted air from the practice room of art college students preparing for many works and exhibitions inspired me. The invisible air as the remains of the work in the practical room and the breaths of the people who used the space become the driving force of the work and form a huge passageway. The main concept of this work is to change the direction of this breath. Waste air from each laboratory comes through the building's ventilation system, which connects to the exhibition hall through outdoor, indoor, and air. The audience sees the buildings and the corridors surrounding them from the outside and imagines the origin of the force. This work consists of large tunnels of 200, 300, 150 m in length and 80 cm in width, and has undergone a long process of safety inspection and cooperation for the work, and obtaining institutional approval within the university for the university.
